Many packages were stolen from my apartment building during the holiday season so I never received my review copy of this book. Once I realized my copy was not coming I waited for the audiobook to be available from my public library so that is the edition I am reviewing.

I never really thought the autobiography of an astronaut would peak my interest. I do enjoy memoirs but have never really had the curiosity about space that so many people experience. However as soon as sampled the first few pages I knew I wanted to read the entire book and eagerly anticipated getting my hands on the audiobook.

Scott Kelly has written a riveting and personal take on his years as an astronaut. It is not an overly technical or science heavy read but is still full of tidbits about life in space that were fascinating. The story about his path towards being an astronaut is equally interesting and I really enjoyed all of the reflections about how he balances being away so such long periods of time and his role as a father and partner . He does a wonderful job narrating the audio and my attention never wavered. This is a book I would highly recommend.
