I received a copy of this book from Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group through Bookishfirst for an honest review.

Frankly, I am not a huge space nut like my parents are, so I wasn't sure how interesting this memoir would be to me. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how informative and personal it turned out to be.

Kelly does a nice job of explaining more scientific information that not everyone would understand or care about. He describes things in a way that others can relate to, like how things in space take on the smell of sparklers. What day to day life is like, along with all the bodily functions, like what we do with human waste. I also appreciate that he talked about how staying in space affected his personal life because, of course it would.

All in all, I'm glad this was such an enjoyable memoir since Kelly is really only one that can tell it, at this point.
