Really Unique Book
Scott Kelly discusses his life as an astronaut and what it was like to be one of the first two people to spend a year in space in this memoir. The book is a fascinating read. Bringing to light the mysteries of space and what it takes to survive its challenges.
The first-hand account of his life in space and how it influenced him mentally and physically was fascinating. I'd read the first chapter and had developed a strong admiration for the man. It detailed the physical difficulties he was having following his extended stay aboard the International Space Station.
I was astounded; as someone who suffers from chronic illness, I would never wish that suffering on others. Kelly, on the other hand, was well aware of what could occur and proceeded regardless. He decided to understand and accept the pain. I admire his devotion to science and value his ability. I could never have pulled it off.
