I enjoyed this book. Not only do I find it fascinating to hear about the experience of being space (and for so long) but I loved the back story. When you read the words of another and their own life, what it was like growing up, and about their own experiences- you learn about who they are. As someone who is fascinated by psychology and the drivers of what it is or what happens in our lives to make us who we are, this book suit the bill very much. I loved to hear those insights into Kelly’s journey and what that meant. I think it’s very brave to have spent that much time in space and away from your family. I’m impressed by the research that has to happen and the insights that an astronaut has to be able to have/do in order to be successful at their job. This is not a job for the faint of heart. I enjoyed and appreciated the opportunities to get this insight.
