Right from the beginning, I'm suspicious of this book. " 'Man in the High Castle' But Make it the Ottoman Empire Instead of the Nazis" (which is a comparison this book is very obviously leaning into as that cover evokes all the marketing I saw for the Amazon MitHC show) doesn't strike me as the kind of plot that's going to treat Islam and Muslims with any kind of sensitivity. The excerpt didn't do much to ease my concerns, either.

I've never read any of this author's books before and this sample of his style doesn't make me want to go seek any of it out; this supposed thriller didn't grab my attention at all.

While I generally find alternate history books intriguing, I'm going to give this one a pass.
