While I do enjoy a good “what if” which examines if one thing in history had gone differently, how might that affect today...I find myself only vaguely interested in this book. The concept is intriguing, and the writing was such that makes me think this is a weekend read rather than that intense thriller that has you turning page after page late into the night. But even still, I’d be interested to learn how it ends! And the motivation of the stranger at the beginning, and his how. I think that would be enough to pull the reader in.
