I love historical fiction and find alternative history interesting as well. The beginning of this excerpt certainly held my attention, as it introduces a radically different past than the one we know. But when we got to present day, I had a hard time connecting and getting into the story. But I am curious to find out what is going on with the tattooed time traveler.
