As a huge Assassins Creed fan when I saw the prologue was taking place in Topkapi Palace I was intrigued! I don't know much about Turkish/Ottoman history but as a history nerd I decided to take a chance and read the excerpt. The words come to life and the author transports you to the battlefield in 1682 at the start when history changes and then takes you to the present time. Loved the book cover - gives you an idea of where the story is headed and I can't wait to read how the rest of Europe has changed in the alternate present.
