This story is definitely for fans of dystopia and imaginative realism. You’re in a small village that keeps to itself. Weird things happen to women and I do not understand the hairpin ritual at all. They do have a non-villager to bring them items they need from the outside but residents who live there should never try and leave. But, what if you leave? What happens? Is the die that’s cast interrupted? Can you change the thing you fear most? This is definitely a 'grass is always greener' and 'the devil you know' type story. Would you be willing to give up what means the most to you to save yourself and possibly protect those you love the most?
