This book was just ok for me. The book seemed to drag on, i just think that it wasn’t a book for me. I honestly just didn’t get the story. I felt lost as to what was going on.
The chapters were long and the paragraphs dragged on.I liked Vera’s character overall but I felt left with more questions than answers when I finished it. I just couldn’t connect with other characters I felt lost to.Normally with a book I can relate to some of the characters or starting rooting for them but I just felt mad with the whole town Why was Mr. Phillips the only one who comes from elsewhere that is actually welcome? What keeps everyone away from their town? Why do they not seek out of elsewhere? And when the moms disappear are they actually gone or are they living outside of elsewhere. I feel like I am bashing the book, but these are my honest opinions and how I felt once I finished the book.
