This book, Elsewhere, is unlike anything else that I’ve ever read. I’m not sure how exactly to describe the plot and storyline of this book without giving anything away, but this was a very well written story. Unfortunately after reading Elsewhere, it left me wondering what it was that I just read, since it was so different from other books. I can honestly say that I’ve never read anything quite like it. The author was very descriptive and the writing style reminded me of Shirley Jackson’s, which made this book easier to read even though I didn’t fall in love with the overall story. That being said, the story was very unique and incredibly well written, but unfortunately I don’t think this book was for me. I’m thinking maybe I wasn’t the ideal target audience for this one, but I can definitely see how many people are going to really like this one.
