The feel of this was very ethereal, and it kept me at a distance. I don't think I would feel as though I were a part of this story. It was more like a strange dream state, or a movie like Inception that kind of messes with your head. I'm not sure there's a clear plot in here to happen. I got the impression it's more about meandering around the village and learning a bit about everyone's stories, with the commonality of the stranger who has arrived. I thought I would be really into this book, but after reading the preview, I'm not.
