So we're told this book contains elements of Shirley Jackson, and the cover looks like an old school painting inspired by The Wickerman. That's all I need to be immediately intrigued. Reading further through the description, it sounds right up my alley: dark mystery, magic, and family. Just ran to add this one to my TBR.
