I haven't read anything written by Katie McGarry before but the cover and summery is what drew me in. I enjoy the genre but the book didn't keep me interested. I read it in bits and pieces as I couldn't stay engaged and it took me much longer than usual to finish a book like this. The twist in the book was good and I did enjoy how the book was split between Sawyers and Veronicas point of views.

The book did tackle issues such as addictions, overbearing parents, learning disorders and of course grief in a great way. The plot was great however the relationship between the two main characters, Veronica and Sawyer was a little over the top for me. It felt kind of forced in a way and cliché.

I was just disappointed that I didn't enjoy the book since the genre and plot was so intriguing. But not every book is for everyone. I would like to read another book by her, as I heard Katie McGarry is a great author.
