I am hesitant when picking some YA novels because I want them to have real substance and actual growth with characters and this book had that!
Victoria and Sawyer were both interesting characters dealing with real problems and helping one another as well. The growth in their relationship and the development of the writing throughout was very well done.
I liked the addition to TB patients and the diary entries as part of the chapters. It brought some history to the book and connected the way the current characters were feeling to the diary owner.
Overall the writing was easy to follow, but still engaging. I felt connected to the characters and the story, as well as wanting to know what happened to them as I read.
