The excerpt I got was very short, and only told a chapter from Veronica's perspective. I wish I could have had more material to read, since I only got a slight idea of who Sawyer was from her perspective, and he seems to be a main character in this story. However, I did really enjoy Veronica's voice. The chapter I got from her perspective was interesting, and I found her to be instantly relatable to anybody, whether it's from her introverted personality, or her "misfit" social status, or the fact that all of her friends are a little older than her, so she's losing them to college and advanced courses in school. Even though this excerpt wasn't enough to give a really good first impression for me, I did enjoy the small part of the book I was able to read. I look forward to any more information about this book I can get my hands on.
