The synopsis and the cover were very interesting and beautiful. I haven't had the best experience with this author's writing in the past so it made me fairly apprehensive about giving the book a try, which of course I did. The writing style is just not for me but not just that I found the whole opening part to be needlessly morbid and it's just not for me.
