After glancing through the book, I decided that my 8 year old grandson might appreciate receiving this book. He has recently started doing very detailed drawings and he loves animals. I though this would be a good match and I was right. I had to help him with a few of the words and explain a few of the concepts but when it got to the actual instructional drawing, he was fine. The book gave him a good basis for looking at animals and their geometric shapes prior to starting to sketch. After a little practice, he produced some very nice drawings of both bunnies and horses.
This is a nice book filled with cute pictures and some general directions. It is a good starting point for budding artists.
