This book is, indeed, super cute. Throughout the super cute pages, the author guides us through how to draw and pair super cute animals. Each section starts with studies about the animals (to understand, for example, the placement of the eyes or the size of the ears), followed by a step by step guide on how to first sketch the draw, and then start panting by layers. For me, the most valuable lesson was learning how to paint using layers. Even though the first layer might seem childish and simple, you can build more strokes over it until it reaches the tone and color you’re looking for. There’s also some helpful tips on how do draw and paint some background items, like leaves or things from the bottom of the sea. A great book for all amateur illustrators out there!
