First, I think that the excerpt depicts a really great set of cute animals and how they can be drawn. I think the cover is appealing and realistic in its depictions of an artistically rendered drawing. However, I suppose the only drawback is that I didn't think this book's instructions on some of the drawings were very elaborate. I wouldn't be able to just jump right into some of these drawings, so maybe this book is not aimed for someone like me who may be an amateur. What I did appreciate about this book included 1) the cute animal drawings, 2) the inclusion of some of the explanations about the animals, such as the rabbit's eyes needing to be on the side due to looking for predators, 3) the lessons about the shapes and materials. I am wondering if perhaps it is just due to the short nature of the excerpt that some of the pages are left out, so there are more lessons to be learned in the book. For that reason, and judging solely on what I see here, I say that this book is a really cool and informative instructional art guide.
