This is a cute and fun way to teach someone how to draw "super cute animals!" I plan on giving this to my nephew as he likes to draw and it will be a good starting point for him. Though he likes to draw Sonic the Hedgehog. But he's seven years old so I'm sure drawing puppies and kittens will be a hit with him too! I'm not an artist in any way so using this book to try to draw cute animals was a good way for me to learn to draw as well. I tried a lot of the animals in this book and it helped a lot. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and the end result may not have been 100% the same but I can clearly see what I was attempting to draw! I liked the variety of animals in the book as well.
