Truly loved this book. Did not expect to fall for the dragon. The author did a great job of letting you see into the mind of the dragon and his motivation for his actions. I also loved the Tuillot, the broken knight, trying to overcome alcoholism and shame to become again the man he'd once been. His sword skills have become rusty but his determination to overcome is great. And Solene, who discovers her powers and uses them clumsily. Hamilton does a great job creating excitement and tension, underlying betrayal and a bit of humor. I shared this with my 15 year old granddaughter and her first questions was, when does the next one come out? Definitely a thumbs up from a voracious thought picky reader!
