Dragonslayer reminds me of those wonderful Grimm's Faery Tales I read as a child.
Hamilton has a way of creating characters that pulls you in. The conversation is perfect, the descriptions are fluid and didn't jar my senses as so often happens these days.
I found myself rooting for the Dragon as much as the Slayer.
The Chavallier of the Silver Circle, the caverns of an ancient race of Dragons, a villain straight from Tolkein..this story ( I hesitate calling it a book because it breaths) is phenomenal.
Magical, mysterious and marvelous, it has everything a Fantasy fan could ask for and left me wanting more..and that's great because more is coming.
