OK, so how soon is the next book coming?!?
First, I want to thank the author and publisher for the advanced copy to read/review.
Some books are page turners that you gulp down quickly, like fast food. Others plod along never seeming to actually arrive. This one, I am pleased to say, is in the middle, a steady journey to the big challenge. While I like the “fast food” variety occasionally, I especially enjoy the ones that are like a fine, multi-course meal. DRAGONSLAYER is that and more. It takes a bit of time developing solid characters, some of which, I imagine, will continue through the entire trilogy. DRAGONSLAYER is a bit of magic, action, and “karate kid”. Frankly, when I know that a book is the start to a trilogy, I like to take time to soak up the people, the landscape, and the culture. Of course, the further I got in the book, the faster the pages flew by.
I recommend DRAGONSLAYER without hesitation for those who love a little magic mixed with their dragons. I look forward to continuing the series in book two.
