Dragonslayer by Duncan M. Hamilton is a fast paced fantasy novel. The story is engaging and well written. What I especially love about Dragonslayer is the character and world building. Throughout the book, you learn more about the main characters and how each of them ties in with the story. This allows the reader to get more involved in the world as well.
The characters all have their own voices and life experiences, which help to aid in the above story telling. As we get more information about a character, we also see how their experiences have colored their interactions with the world and with the other characters.
I definitely recommend reading Dragonslayer, even if fantasy is not necessarily your first choice. Give it a shot. You might be surprised!
