This book has got to be one of the strangest books I have ever read. Having said that it was really good and kept me on my toes. When I first read the back jacket I thought too much information was revealed. However the summary was essentially to understating what the heck was going on!
There are two protagonists, Alexa and her sister Beth. But Beth isn’t Beth but Alexa’s split personality. Alexa is a victim of childhood trauma. The killing of her twin sister lead her to a psychiatric facility where she was being treated by Dr. Greer. As treatment progresses Alexa is released into the world where she secures a job with a marketing company. She gets an apartment and finally finds freedom (and a boyfriend) until Beth shows up. Alternating chapters between Alexa and Beth reveal what happened many years ago.
I wouldn’t say this book was a thriller but it was suspenseful! The plot was fascinating! Great debut and an author to follow!
