This was the most unique story I have ever read and I finished it in a day. Alexa moves to New York to start a marketing job. She has spent time in a mental facility and this is her first time on her own. Beth, her twin "visits" her as soon as she moves in. Some of the chapters are narrated by Beth and some by Alexa and it's a very interesting read as you learn about their past. The book begins with Alexa at the police station being held for the murder of Curt and she keeps saying Beth did it. As you keep reading you will find out that Alex has a split personality which is Beth, her twin that died at the age of nine. At her new marketing job she meets Curt and they start dating. Soon after, Curt moves in with "them" and things become a little more tangled. Curt definitely was not an innocent victim in this story.
