Alexa has moved out on her own into NYC with a new marketing position. She has spent time in a psychiatric ward, as well as her twin Beth, which has been there for years. Upon Beth's release, things get complicated and shocking. She moves in with Alexa bringing back childhood nightmares. The story builds on the scene of Alexa's boyfriend, Curt. Curt is found murdered and Alexa goes on trial for it, but she claims her sister is to blame angry over Curt finding her journal that reveals their past.
