I love reading books that open up to a dead body, then the book tells the story backtracking to the beginning so that you anticipate the story unfolding until you discover how the murder occurred, who did it and who the murder victim was. This is that type of read, so I can't wait to finish reading to find out who Curt is and how he ended up dead. I also want to see why Alexa is in the police station being questioned.
The other aspect of this First Impression I am loving is the twin aspect. You have Alexa who is venturing out on her own in New York away from her over bearing widowed dad. Then you have Beth who seems to me in a mental facility but why and how long has she ben there. I am dying to know the back story.
The other thing that has me wanting to keep reading is the writing style. It is clear and easy to read and follow. You can get a feel of the characters and they are relatable in their own way. I also enjoy book from different POV and this is definitely one of those.
