The first chapter starts off right in the middle: there’s been a murder, and the girl in the interrogation room swears it wasn’t her. The twist? She says her twin sister did it. Backing up to months prior, we get the events leading up to the murder. There’s still a lot of mystery. Alexa and her twin Beth have been estranged for a while now, since their dad made Beth leave. But something else happened in the past making both Alexa and Beth need psychiatric help, with Beth in worse shape than Alexa. The writing is done really well, with chapters switching between Alexa’s and Beth’s perspectives. I’m really interested to find out more about their past and see what happened to cause the murder!
