This is my first book by Lynda La Plante, so I didn't know what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised. The book has well developed characters, and a believable story line.
The main character, Jane Tennison, is tenacious, and determined to get the job done, even if it means going against direct orders from her boss. She has a quick and analytical mind that is detrimental to solving crime.
There are four more books in the Tennison series that I have to put on my TBR list for future reading. I am looking forward to reading more of Lynda La Plante's work!
