Usually Love Her Books; This Preview Didn't Do It for Me

Hmmmm, I'm not sure what the difference is, but this preview just did not entice me. And I have enjoyed many of LaPlante's previous books. Usually mysteries intrigue me, yet this female detective and the military men around her do not seem compelling to me. Based on my previous enjoyment of this author's novels, I'm certainly willing to be proved wrong.
