The cover has great colors, although I am not sure how it ties into the storyline. I usually prefer to get some hint of the inside when looking at a cover. Maybe more is revealed as the story progresses.
I haven't read the prior books in this series, so I am coming in blind to the characters. There was good character build up of the protagonist during this first look. She seems ready to impress and realized that she'll have to prove herself worthy to the team.
