I know there are other books in this series, but I've never read them. I'm not sure if this could be a standalone or not, but it seems like that could be possible. I enjoy mysteries and thrillers, and I like the fact this has a female lead. There appears to be a decent amount of action, based on the sample, but it didn't grab me as much as I'd hoped.
