I was excited to received this book as a frequent reader of group mission-based and book-centered storylines but this one really missed the mark for me. While I appreciated the concept and mercenary librarians' character profiles, I was never quite fully engaged with the plot and felt there were a lot of characters and too many plot details to keep track of too early in the book.
Unfortunately, there was also a pretty significant delay in receiving my copy of this book and after several months of back and forth correspondence in order to receive it, that colored my mindset going into reading this story.
I did not finish this one, however, see opportunity for deeper engagement with a continuation of the series and more character development and relationship building between the players in the story.
