When I saw the cover and title for this book, I was expecting a fantasy setting more in line with medieval high fantasy. I really liked being surprised to find out the setting is a futuristic dystopian United States. I don't often get a chance to read future fantasy so I am definitely interested to read more. Some of the early world building reminds me of FKA USA, although potentially more close to the supposed "breakdown" of the United States.
