Dark and Shallow Lies follows Grey as she returns to her Bayou hometown, La Cachette. It's been hard since her best friend, Elora disappeared, and she's determined to uncover the truth of what happened even if no one in the Psychic Capital of the World can. To further complicate things is the crush she's had on her childhood friend, Hart, and the appearance of someone no one seems to know, quite unusual for the town.
I loved this book. The mystery was enough to keep me turning the page, and the cast of characters, each unique and charismatic, was a joy to read. From pretty early on I thought I had it all figured out (no I didn't think it was the Red Herring), but in the end, this book ripped the wool from my eyes, leaving me stunned. I couldn't tell you which character I liked best because I liked them all! (Probably Honey though).
I definitely recommend you add this book with its beautiful cover to your library!
