More like 3.5 stars, but rounded up. At the beginning, this was excellent at building up suspense and all the seriously creepy heebie jeebies. I mean, Sain got me sitting here late at night scared of a Rougarou for goodness sakes, and that's something I never thought I'd admit to. But as we got closer to the ending, I found that I knew the character "whodunnit" a little too easily and soon. There was something that the character said at a particular moment that made me go, ah, that is the one, they did it! And then? I was correct. Yeah, there were more secrets, and definitely a few fake outs, but they started piling up and becoming more bizarre and unbelievable by the second, and that's for a book about true psychics. I was underwhelmed by the ending and felt it was a little cliché. But it was good enough at the beginning and middle to get me to want to finish, so a solid 3.5 stars.
