Okay, I absolutely adored this book. I loved the bayou setting and all of the Magical realism that was woven into the story. I had gotten into a slump of reading really cheesy Young Adult books that I wasn’t enjoying and I have to say, this one got me out of it. The plot was captivating and there were so many complex, well-developed characters it would be hard not to enjoy this book!
There wasn't really anything I didn't like about this book. I knew from the very first page it was going to be one that I was going to have a hard time putting down, and that is exactly what happened. There was drama, love, heart ache, anger, fighting, and so much more. Literally everything you could want in a Young Adult book without it being too over the top.
I would highly recommend this book to all YA book readers. You won't be disappointed. I immediately texted my sister after reading this and told her she needed to read this one!
