A perfect cross between a murder mystery and supernatural/paranormal story with otherworldly events! This book opens in a small town in Louisiana which is a perfect setting for anything supernatural! Louisiana has such a rich history of mysticism that it provides the perfect backdrop for the events of this book.
Our protagonist is seventeen-year-old Grey who spends her summers in that small Louisana town of La Cachette and we find out that her best friend Elora has disappeared 6 months prior. Grey is obviously desperate to find out what happened to her best friend and how no one knows a thing about her disappearance in a town as small as this one and events progress from there.
The best thing about this book is hands down the setting!! I love how real La Cachette felt. It was almost its own character. There's also tons of supernatural bits with the psychics woven into the story.
