Coming from your south Louisiana Cajun girl, this book was on fleek!
I loved it so much and it did ring true of what it can be like living down here. Cajuns are known to be spiritually gifted and the author did an absolutely tremendously great job highlighting the psychic abilities that many Cajuns are born with naturally. We fear the rougarou and we are very intuitive people. No we aren’t rich, psychics get a bad rap and my people are some of the most generous people you will ever meet. They don’t flaunt their gifts and make it into a get rich scheme.
The book focuses on a group of teens born in a very small town around the same time as each other and they hail from all the way down the Louisiana boot where nobody would find inhabitable. One of the teen girls is missing and is possibly dead, can they find her before it’s too late? Loved all the Cajun references made! Do not miss this book!
