The cover of Dark and Shallow Lies is very eye catching and honestly quite beautiful. It gives off a bit of a dark vibe with the alligator while still having the pretty flowers and such. The writing in the preview is so engaging and has a good pace. It definitely made me want to keep reading and has me intrigued in the story of Grey and La Cachette.
