Right away I just was not interested in the mystery. I think it starts off at a place that was not appealing to me. I think it was interesting that people are known to have magic gifts - example reading minds. Powers and magic is normalized but I just was not into the mystery.
The cover gives me thriller vibes. It can give fantasy vibes too but I think more so thriller. I like the cover.
