I really enjoyed this book a lot. There are not many Persian/Iranian books - especially for young adults. I loved the characters and the family dynamic and the fact that this book even took place in Iran. I have not personally been there but it made me feel transported like I was actually there. This was very wholesome and makes you overwhelmed with a lot of feelings. In a good way mostly depending how you look at it lol. I do look forward to the next book and wonder where the story will go from here. I also think the audiobook was done well if someone is interested in checking that out. The narrator does such a good job and even gives the mom a Persian accent and I loved that. I come from a Persian family so I thought that was super fun. I loved the LGBT representation as well and overall think the themes worked very so very well together in this book.
