I fell in love with the main character in this book Darius from his bonding time with his dad to his mother Iranian roots even to his little sis. I love that the fact that he has a rough time explaining to his Iranian grandfather why he takes medication and what it is for and still the grandfather is puzzled to watching all the different star trek shows one a night with his father. The fact that he can't speak Farsi or that he really can't connect with his Persians roots. He is a typical teenager trying to find his own way in the world and even if he has to got to another country to maybe find it. I laughed through parts of this book and understood when parts were very serious. Great book by a first time author.
