I wish there had been more to this First Impression, because so far, I'm not quite hooked. The premise of the story sounds interesting, but when the protagonist commented that the agent who came to speak with her was 17, I was immediately put off. I know my own logic doesn't make sense, because we're talking about a paranormal romance, where anything is possible. But when the setting is Earth as we know it, it makes little to no sense that a 17-year-old would be sent to handle the biggest problem this organization has ever known. Even if it's just a facade and he's actually millennia old, which hasn't been said, he could still have been in his twenties or something. Or like a hot dad type. I don't know.

I also don't generally like romance novels, but I am a sucker for fairy tale and mythology retellings, so I would read this book. Especially because I just read D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Mythology, so it would be fun to bring some of those stories to life in modern times.
