This was not a really eye-opening read for me. The book did not deliver well in terms of world-building or plot, so it was hard to finish. The main characters were pretty okay but I just wish that we had gotten some more character development out of them. I love a good pirate story but this didn't feel remotely like that. The book felt like it was missing some emotional intensity for the characters. However, considering that this was a Wattpad book (and I've read tons of those), it was as good as Wattpad can deliver.
On the other hand, the friendship between the main cast felt pretty nice. Overall, it was a decent read at best, but it will just as easily be forgotten a couple of hours after you read it. I feel like the book could have been carried out much better if the plot introduced a unique element to the story (the initial synopsis felt pretty generalized).
