When I saw the cover for this book I just had to learn more and after reading the description I knew I had to read this book. I love pirates I wish more books had pirates in them because I do not think I could ever get bored reading and go through the adventures with them. Unfortunately, I did not connect with the characters. I usually do not like multiple points of view and I do not know why I keep reading books with them because I always get bored. My biggest pet peeve is when I read a pirate book I want my female character to be ruthless not plain jane nice to her enemies. Plus the competition that the main plot of this book did not start until halfway through. Why do authors do that? I started reading I want action and adventure not hundred of pages of world-building until the actual book starts. I wanted to like this book I really did but I just could not.
