I really love high fantasy books. The author gets to create a whole world with different land and kingdoms. I feel like they have so much imagination.
When the pirate king dies, the bell tolls, and all of the realms send their top fighters to find out which one will be the new pirate king.
I loved the book and the world development. Kane, Lorelei (I still think Gilmore girls when I see this name), and Camilla come from each of their lands to battle for the bone crown.
I like how each chapter alternates perspectives/points of view. I think some stories were more developed than others. I do like the entire book as a whole but felt like some things may be held back for the next book in the trilogy. I will be very happy when the next book comes out.
Out of all of the characters I think I liked Kane the best. He had more of a personality that I would get along with if I were a pirate.
