I don't usually pick up graphic novels, but I'm glad I had a chance to read this one! For one thing, the artwork was absolutely stunning!

In terms of the story itself, I really appreciated the queer representation that was present.

But when it comes to the actual plot, it was a pretty simple witchy story--which isn't a bad thing, it's just not particularly unique. I also feel like the ending was wrapped up a little to quickly for my personal liking. On the other hand, it felt like it took a while for the actual plot to get going, and there were times when I wasn't entirely sure what was going on. So I wish the pacing and the plot overall had had a smoother execution.

I thought overall, the main characters were engaging (although Emsy was a bit annoying at times). I liked that the cast was diverse, although there were a few stereotypes that were present. Overall though, I think it was an enjoyable read.
